Student-Parent Dependent Care Fund

The Cornell University Student-Parent Dependent Care Fund Spring 2024

The application deadline is Monday, March 4, at noon.

The goal of the Cornell University Student-Parent Dependent Care Fund is to provide greater access to more student-parents and financial support, allowing student-parents more flexibility and autonomy to determine how best to use the funds to help their child(ren) and individual situation.

If you received an award in Fall 2023, you are not eligible for support. Highlights include:

  • There is no requirement for funds to be used solely for childcare expenses.
  • If your family’s AGI is under $150,000/year, you are eligible for support.
  • Postdoc fellows are eligible for this program.

The 2023-24 AY cycle for the Student-Parent Dependent Care Grant will follow the below schedule. The schedule is subject to change. You only need to apply once for the academic year, either in the fall or spring, and will receive funding when you are eligible. If you receive an award in the Fall, you are not eligible to apply a second time in the spring. If you were denied in the fall, but your circumstances changed, or if you will be adding another child to your family before the end of the spring semester, or if you missed the application deadline in the fall, we encourage you to submit an application in the spring.
